PlanningWiz Information |
|
| Suited for furnishing retailers’ websites as a powerful design and sales tool branded with retailer’s logo and corporate colors, PlanningWiz also addresses interior designers and architects who can use the trial version at http://v3.planningwiz.com to create online professional presentations.
PlanningWiz runs in Flash, the drag-and-drop interface makes planning very intuitive, from simple to complex layouts.
Create your own plan:
Prepare first your session by choosing the measurement system you want to work in: meters / centimeters, or feet / inches.
The “grid feature” is activated by default to help you create a fine-tuned draft of the plan. You can also refer to the rulers delimitating the planning area to make your drawing even more precise.
Set default wall thickness, (you might also want to define text and drawing setting), then start drawing the walls. Don’t forget to save from time to time. When all walls are in place, it’s time to add doors and windows. Continue your plan, by dragging icons from icon tab in sidebar onto the work area and furnishing your space. The object library includes categories like doors & windows, living, bedroom, dinner, kitchen, bathroom, etc. There are many options within each category to create your space just to your liking.
There are many more features and tools than I have mentioned here, and they all make planning a very attracting activity. The one I have mentioned provide the basic in online floor planning.
Once you’re done with your design, you can print it, email it and of course save (if you haven’t already done so during drawing phase). Printing allows pretty elaborated printouts, plans print with your comments, date printed, scale and even an itemized list of objects used.
Conclusion:
The best way to learn PlanningWiz is to start using it! It is all coming by it self practically. The more you practice with it, the more familiar it becomes. You might also enjoy PlanningWiz even if you don’t have a specific purpose to develop a floor plan.
Where to use it:
